2.Healthcare

Many rural communities in Uganda, Nigeria, still struggle to provide basic health services to their people , lack of awareness and affordability has resulted to so many deaths in form of infant and child mortality, yet many are preventable and treatable causes.

Fistula.

Women who experience obstetric fistula suffer constant incontinence, shame, social segregation and health problems.

Obstetric fistula is preventable, we sensitise the public how it can largely be avoided.

Firstly we advise young girls why and on how to avoid teen pregnancy this is because it affects young pregnant girls mostly because of their small size and physical weakness which makes it extremely difficult for them to give birth to a child.

Secondly we advise teen mothers to stop harmful traditional practices when giving birth, and also to timely access to obsteric care

Preventing and managing obstetric fistula contributes to the Sustainable improvement in maternal health.

3.Protection

In most serious situations, we are engaged in the physical and psychological protection of the most vulnerable sections of the population, with particular attention to teen mothers and girls.

Female genital mutilation.

We are working to put an end to FGM and the taboo sorrounding it in practicing cultures. Our starting point of it’s work is education which involves awareness and knowledge , we talk openly about it .

We involve families and commmunities but most importantly we educate girls on their right to decide what happens to their body and also speaking out about the risks and realities of FGM.

Our effort has helped many girls and teenagers to prevent FMG and also to address the issue adequately

With our continued action, we can work together to end FGM.

4.Hygiene

We also provide hygiene toileries, sanitary pads among girls and teen mothers, we also accept donations of gently used clothings for both teen mothers and children..

sanitary pads

Providing a girl with sanitary pads may increase her chances of staying in school. Every month there are girls who don’t know what’s happening when they saddenly get their menstrual period, who face shame, embarrassment and taboos around the subject.

why do girls need sanitary pads to stay in school?

If a girl does not have access to sanitary pads or a safe and clean place at school to change them, that becomes another reason to keep her home. she starts missing a few days every month. she falls behind, and she may eventually drop out, in fact.

Keeping girls in school is important to health and development not only for girls but for their communities.

When girls stay in school, they are less likely to get HIV infection, wages go up, teenage pregnancy rates go down, and the children they have are healthier.

Underprivileged girls need sanitary pads and underwear.

If a girl does not have access to sanitary pads, that becomes another reason to keep her home. Keeping girls in school is important to health and development.
